The one kilogram handmade colomba has been prepared with sourdough starter, zero colorants, zero additives and zero preservatives. The first dough rises for twenty-four hours and the second dough for another twelve hours, for a total of thirty-six hours of rising. The colomba by Ciccio Sultano, prepared together with Fabrizio Fiorani and Peppe Cannistrà, is stuffed with candied oranges, candied lemons, vanilla, dairy butter, Sicilian almonds, fresh orange and lemon peel, top quality Italian flour. We suggest having it with Sicilian pistachio or Piedmontese hazelnut creams, with our orange marmalade and a glass of Moscato di Pantelleria Vinisola.
